Internal Medicine

Internal medicine deals with the diagnosis, nonsurgical treatment, and disease prevention of internal organs and body systems, specifically for adults. Often referred to as the “doctor’s doctor,” internists focus on the entire patient and are familiar with a wide range of medical conditions and their causes, including:

    • Heart disease
    • Lung disease
    • Liver and gastro-intestinal disorders
    • Kidneys and the urinary tract disorders
    • Diabetes
    • High blood pressure
    • Cancer

With such broad clinical knowledge, internists are in essence your primary care physician – the medical professional you turn to first.

Although our practice began as a specialty group dedicated to cardiac care, we are profoundly aware of the increasing need for expert and compassionate care in Internal Medicine to address a wide range of health issues.

Our internist Dr. Judy Lin is dedicated to the same principles that are the signature of our organization—educating, preventing, and treating our patients in a caring and compassionate manner. She works closely with our cardiologists to diagnose and treat heart-related illnesses and to coordinate the overall management of the patient’s care.

In addition, the participation of Dr. Lin as faculty at Columbia University will enhance our practice as we incorporate the best of evidence-based medicine in both the cardiac and general wellness fields.
