Emily Matera Callanan—RN, MSN, FNP-BC
Emily is a board certified family nurse practitioner, licensed to provide preventative care and to diagnose, manage, and prescribe for patients of all ages who have episodic and complex health problems. Her practice focus is on health promotion, patient education, and disease prevention.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Emily was a senior staff nurse in the cardiology department at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she received an Excellence in Nursing Award. She completed her clinical training at a local family practice and also trained at an interventional cardiology unit at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and an urban family health clinic at Columbia University Medical Center. She teaches in the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs at Dominican College in Orangeburg, New York.
Emily has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fairfield University and a master’s degree in nursing from Columbia University. She joined the practice in 2015.
